Eveland Family Visit

Matt's parents came to visit us for 2 weeks in August. While they were here we went to Paris, Normandy, London, Antwerp, Brussels, Cologne, and Amsterdam.

Brugge, Belgium

A couple of weeks ago, we went to Brugge for the day. It's about a 2 hour drive from where we live. We had a nice time while we were there and the weather was perfect! We walked around the centrum, ate at a cafe, strolled along the canal, and saw some windmills.

Emma's First Time Painting

Emma painted a picture for Matt for Father's day. It was her first time painting and she seemed to enjoy it. At first she used her fingers and then she used a paint brush. Matt really liked the painting!

Jehay Castle and Modave Castle

This past Saturday we visited two castles in Belgium. The first castle we went to was the Jehay Castle. Most of the structure on this castle dates back to the 16th century. The Modave Castle (pictured further down) dates back to the 13th century.

Spring Time

"Take Me Out to the Ball Game..."

The Padres first game of the season was on yesterday, so as you can imagine, Matt was super excited! They played the Cardinals and beat them 5-3 in the eleventh inning! To celebrate the first game of the season, I made some cupcakes and decorated them. And of course I couldn't resist dressing Emma up in her Padres dress. She was asleep during the game because it came on at 11pm over here, so I took pics of her in her dress the next day.
