San Diego

While we were in CA, we went to San Diego for a couple of days with Matt's parents. The first day we were there we went to a Padres game. Before the game we went on a tour of the stadium and we even got a chance to sit in the dugout and go on the field...it was pretty neat! We spent the night at the Navy Lodge on Coronado Island. The hotel is on the beach so the next morning we took Emma down there...that was her first time visiting the beach. She seemed to enjoy it until her feet got wet. :) Later on that day we met up with my sister and her family and spent the day at the zoo.

I'm Still Here...

Sorry it has been so long since I last updated our blog... life happens. Here are some pictures from our visit to CA in April. I am so thankful that we had an opportunity to go back home and visit family and friends for two weeks. It had been two years since we had been back home, so it was awesome to see everyone again! We had a great time there and the weather was wonderful...I had a hard time leaving. Thanks for the fun memories everyone...I miss you all!

Snow!!

The snow finally came! We have been waiting for it all winter and we began to lose hope that we would see any this year, but it finally decided to make an appearance. Emma enjoyed playing in it so much that I had to make her come back in the house to warm up.

Snowboarding Trip

A few days before Christmas, we went on a short snowboarding trip to Garmisch, Germany. It was a long drive so, we took our time getting there. We stopped in Rammstein, Germany the first day and stayed at the base there. The next day we stopped in Munich and walked around the centrum. Then we made it over to Garmisch to go snowboarding. It was absolutely beautiful there! We had a great time and Emma loved the snow!

Merry Christmas!

We had a nice quiet Christmas at home. We made aebelskivers (Danish pancake balls) and sausage for breakfast. Then for dinner we had a ham and potato salad. Later we Skyped with our families. It was nice to see them since we couldn't be there in person. Matt also wanted to start a new tradition by dressing up as santa for Emma. She was a little confused when she first saw him, but she figured it out. We hope you all had a nice Christmas and may you be blessed in the New Year!
