A Heartbeat Never Sounded So Sweet...

To those who did not already know because I was trying to keep this on the hush-hush, I am pregnant! I did not want to announce the news until we heard the heartbeat because of what happened last time. We went in this past Wednesday to hear it and it was literally music to my ears. I never thought something could sound so good. The nurse found the heartbeat right away and she said it sounded very good. Thank you all for keeping me in your prayers! God is awesome!

6 Years Already?

Matt and I celebrated our 6th anniversary this weekend. I cannot believe it has already been six years! Time sure does go by fast! We went to Jacksonville, Florida yesterday to celebrate. We went to eat at Ruth's Chris then we went to the nice outdoor mall and walked around. It was a nice evening out on the town.

Spending Time With the Eveland's

Matt's parents came out to visit us this past week. We took them on a mini tour of Georgia while they were here. They went to Andersonville POW Camp, The Crescent House, Pebble Hill Plantation, The Okefenokee Swamp, and a little tour of the base. These pictures are from our boat excursion in the Okefenokee Swamp. Matt was our trusty boat guide. We saw several alligators while we were out there. Unfortunately, the boat tour was cut short because of a big storm that was hanging over us. We had already been rained on while we were out there, so we decided to head back in. We enjoyed our visit with them.

Kayaking on the Ichetucknee

I went kayaking yesterday on the Ichetucknee down in Florida with some friends of mine. Matt did not want to attend, so he stayed home and worked on his truck and even did some housework... thanks Matt! :) I had a great time down there. It was my first time kayaking and it was a blast! We kayaked upstream, then ate some lunch and then kayaked back down. It was a total of 6 miles. The water was clear and there were turtles sunbathing on the logs. We even saw a turkey on the shore!? I didn't know turkeys lived down here. I enjoyed my time and would definitely do it again.

Snowboarding Trip

We went up to Maggie Valley in North Carolina this past weekend to go snowboarding. We went with a small group of people from the base. We had a fun time snowboarding even though the snow was man made. I was trying to get some pictures, but did not get that many because the batteries died in the camera. My friends that went with us said they will email me some of theirs, so I will post more later. :)

Welcome Home Matt!!

Just letting all of you know that Matt made it back home safely this past Saturday. Thank you all so much for your prayers, cards, and goodies that you sent him, it means a lot! This coming weekend we are going to head to Jacksonville to go to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. That was one of Matt's special request to do when he got back and of course I don't mind going there either! :)
