Update

I know it has been awhile since my last blog and that is because we have been so busy! So, I will try to give all of you an update on what has been going on. We were officially out of Georgia on the 31st of March. Everything came together at the last minute for us to be able to move out of there... let me just say that is was a very stressful time! Despite our stress and worrying, God helped us get through it and now we are relaxing in California before we head to Belgium. We have been spending time with our families and friends and doing various activities. We went to a San Diego Padres game and Disneyland. We leave for Belgium on the 5th of May and we will be over there for 4 years. It will certainly be an adventure for us!

3 Months Old

Emma is 3 months old today and she is growing so much! She is much more active than she was before. She will grab things and hit them with her hands. She likes to play with her hair especially when she is tired. She makes all kinds of noises when we talk to her and she smiles all the time.

Eveland/Kinney Reunion

This past weekend we were able to meet up with our good friends the Kinney's one last time before we head overseas. We met at Callaway Gardens in northern Georgia. I was glad they were finally able to meet Emma, but she was unfortunately being rather cranky that day. It was good to see them again and we hope they can come join us in Europe!

2 Months Old

Emma had her 2 month check up today along with her 2 month shots. I was nervous when she was going in for her shots because I was not sure how upset she would be. She actually did better than I thought she would. She cried when they were giving them to her and then a little bit afterward and that was it. She now weighs 10lbs 14oz and is 23in long. She is growing fast!

1 Month Old and All Smiles

It's hard to believe that Emma is already one month old! She is doing really well and as you can see she has started to smile. I love it when she smiles because she looks so cute! She has out grown her newborn clothes and is wearing 0-3 months clothes. She also has been sleeping for about 5-7 hours at night. She enjoys her sleep just like her parents! In a few more weeks she goes back to the doctors for another check up.

Seasons Greetings from the Eveland's

We hope everyone had a great Christmas! Matt and I finally were able to be together for Christmas this year after being separated for the last two. We didn't do too much because Emma is still so young, but it was enjoyable being altogether. We opened our presents at midnight on Christmas Eve because we were still up with Emma. On Christmas morning I made Aeblekivers (Danish pancake balls) for breakfast. They weren't as tasty as my mom's though. That afternoon we visited with my family and Matt's family on the webcam. It almost felt like we were really there in CA with them. For dinner we went to a friends house and had dinner with their family. God has truly blessed us this year and we are excited to see what he has in store for us in this next coming year!

Welcome Emma Ann Eveland!!

We welcomed our baby girl into the world on December 3, 2009 at 7:43am. She weighed 9lbs 4 oz. Everything went very smoothly and she is a healthy little baby. We were able to go home on the 5th, making our stay at the hospital very short. :) I just wanted to say a BIG thank you for all your prayers for us through out this whole pregnancy and delivery. God has had his hand on us the entire time and I cannot thank him enough for all the blessings he has given us.
